I want to make you all aware of some changes coming to Wineskins. Over the last few months I have been praying for God's direction and it has become abundantly clear that it is time for me to transition out of my role running Wineskins. It is a long story and it is all very positive! God has been doing some great things that I just cannot ignore that point me away from continuing to administrate things here. IN short, God is pointing me to double down on church planting and making disciples.

What will the future hold for Wineskins?

That is a great question and one that we are working on. It will either close shop and be archived for all of posterity on the internet. Or, it will carry on with new leadership. We are working through all the options and talking with various people and groups about the possibilities of a newly envisioned Wineskins.

I am asking for your prayers and your patience.

My role at Wineskins will end on October 15th 2022. That is just under two weeks away! At that point in time things will almost certainly be put on hold until a new leadership team can be put in place and be ready to execute on the goals and vision of this ministry.

Undoubtedly the website will be down for a period of time that might be as long as until the new year or it may be down indefinitely.

The YouTube channel will keep running with new branding. John Mark Hicks has spun off his content to a new channel that I hope you will subscribe to. Our socials will carry on as places for discussion (see links below).

There are two ways to stay in the know on what is going to happen.

You can join the mailing list for updates and continued weekly link listings of new content from my personal ministry blog (mattdabbs.com). I will be keeping people in the loop there on what is going on.

You can join the Facebook page to get updates on where things are headed when the site goes dark for a season. There is also a Facebook group (Wineskins Restoration Community) that you can join and discuss topics of interest. This group is an active group of about 1300 people who discuss topics with an attitude of love and respect.

We will have several more articles posted before Oct 15 and I want you to know what an honor it has been to serve you in this capacity!
